About the Event
This is a panel discussion exploring the transformative power of contemplative practice, toward addressing the critical situation of our twenty-first century global society. Panelists representing Buddhist, Christian, and secular traditions of contemplative and meditative practice will engage with the audience on various aspects of the theme, and present examples from their own life journey and experience. In cooperation with the Office of Spiritual Formation, it will be held in celebration of the 25th anniversary celebration of the Maria Kannon Zen Center in Dallas, Texas.
